Rolling Up His Sleeves

 Jon's got his sleeves rolled up because he is ready to get some work done at his new job.

 The job is with the same company, but is located closer to home.  Yay!  Shorter commute!  Yay!  Yay!

We started the day with the new breakfast of champions - pumpkin pancakes.  It's a Jon thing to eat pumpkin in summer.  I just roll with it.  Maybe it makes him feel cooler.  Like autumnal coolness.  Not like Chuck Norris coolness.  Anyway, I hope he has a great day and many great days at the new job because I think he is great. 

Birthday Girl Party #2

Birthday party #2!  To keep with tradition, picture is taken right when they wake up.  One tradition that we did not keep but will resume when she turns 2 is cake for breakfast.

Birthday Girl #1

We celebrate C's one year birthday today and tomorrow.  We decided to combine the annual Memorial Day cookout and birthday party with family. 
To start, making cupcakes in the morning with Big Sister helping mom!

Today, Lil' C is 11 Months Old

 She's mastered her devilish grin.  Just look at that eyebrow arch!

Does this remind you of a certain YouTube video?  We can't speak the title in this house as we've had some biting problems in the past ;). 

 She likes to relax, briefly, in soft chairs.

 She has Piglet to help her finish cutting those top two teeth.

 She believes she can do anything - walk, somersault, climb stairs, etc.  Gravity and reality have no hold on her.

 Big Sis' chair is her favorite place to sit, bounce, and climb.

She loves snuggles with Big Sis, even if it means a poke in the eye.

Today, Lil' C is 10 Months Old

Char walks pushing her toy shopping cart, says "mine" (thank you, big sister!), and gives wet kisses.

This picture reminds me of wedding day photos of the bride being helped with her zipper.  It's like a glimpse into their future as sisters, and it makes me sentimental for the memories they are making now.  I want to freeze them in their littleness and keep them with me forever!

Today, Lil' C is Nine Months Old

She gives high fives, says "mama" and "dada", crawls, pulls up, and tries to snatch K's sippy cup every chance she gets.  She has also mastered hair pulling, pinching and biting.  Give her some roller skates cause she's ready for the derby!!!!
